141 mosquitoes in 30 mins

Never in my life i've encounter such a big number of mosquito! And never in my life i've seen mosquitoe(s) on an island, with the exception of Pulau Kapas which gave me the shock of my life. Pulau Kapas may look peaceful and quiet, while tourist sun bathe on the beach and enjoy the breeze; wait till dawn or dusk, Pulau Kapas will then turn into a dance floor, where each and every tourist would be clapping their hands and jumping up and down, creating a very happening atmosphere. Now dun get me wrong here, they are not dancing with happiness, but with tears and frustration on their faces! There are just too many mosquitoes to be killed!

I woke up in my hammock at 0700 hrs, was in a jacket and shorts. Upon getting my legs out and into the slippers, i was shock to see the amount of red spots on my legs and feet, but they were't itchy at all, so i just assumed it was the thorn the got me the day b4 while jungle trekking.

Get into your lines! 6 in a row!

In the end, kampungkai lost the battle, because the following evening, a new batch of batallion mosquitoes arrived and kampungkai's hands were sore enough.

It was a bad experience. Kampungkai had never seen so many mosquitoes in 1 go b4 in his entire 21 years. It's scary.
p/s : that was only done by me alone. There were 7 of us. U need a calculator?

  • Your Pulau Kapas posting had me all ready to give this island a try. But now, I am not too sure. Eeek, you really count them?

  • "eeeeeeeee......."

Kampungkai swings his head, looking for that annoying mosquito

    "eeeeeeeee..... STOP"

Kampungkai's eyes spotted the mosquito, landing on his Chi, ready to suck the blood out of his Chi.

With his killing instinct, Kampungkai raises his hand, aimming at the mosquito...

Without hesitation, Kampungkai landed his blow, as fast as a lighting!

    PIAKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKK!!!!!

    "Oooooooh~~~"

While holding his bengkak Chi with his other hand, Kampungkai proudly placed his killing on the chair.

    "Ahhh... 141th..." he said, gladly...

  • Coming in here from your own comment in my blog.

This sounds bad. Not very tourist friendly. Any reason for this? Any plans by the tourist operator to get rid of the mosquitos?
