Pulau Kapas - Part I

(Looking in the mirror) wow, i'm so tanned! exactly the same tone as a Malay. Here I am, after my memorable trip to Pulau Kapas, Terengganu. U guys must be hoping for photos from Kapas? Well, here u are, i snap tonnes of them. Of course, accompanied with the desription of the whole trip.

2210 hrs
My journey started from Kajang bus station, though it was stated on my ticket that the bus would leave at 2245 hrs, we left late. But it's ok, i'm use to the fact that public transport are seldom punctual. (except aeroplanes haha!) And the bus went to Shell petrol kiosk to pump diesel after leaving the bus station. Why can't he pump b4 picking up passengers? Then, he took a road which was so much further than the road he SHOULD HAD taken to enter the highway, as in he went south again, and turn back to north, when he could actually take the north exit and save his diesel. Well, maybe he's not familiar on Kajang roads. No offense Mr Driver! =)

Playing Hindi MTV at 10:10

However it was a lil funny and a lil annoying because the driver played Hindi MTVs on the tv from the moment i got in(Malay Driver). Fit fit buff-up handsome guys were shaking their shoulders and fat fat spare tyres gals with big big boobies were shaking waist down. Typical huh? haha... too bad none were running between trees.

2250 hrs
Reached Putra Station in KL to pick up the remainder passengers. Then to find out that all east coast buses no longer stop in the congested Puduraya. Putra Station is exactly opposite PWTC and Sogo. Take a Komuter Train to Putra, walk up and u'll see buses all along the road. We then headed for for KL-Kuantan's Karak highway to cut across 'banjaran titiwangsa' to east coast.

0130 hrs
The new highway was so empty after genting exit. Hardly seeing any lights until every 2 minutes interval. Most cars will be on high-beam, and down to low beam when came into sight. Sad to say, some cars just won't turn down to low beam, leaving my poor driver to eyes-strain, so selfish of them! The road was obscured by mist, kinda made the jouney scary ya know? in addition to midnight and pitch black on both left and right, your brain starts to think nonsense, maybe white figures poping out! And at such quiet road, if your car breaks down, no1 would stop to help u!!!

The bus was smooth till suddenly a very loud sound was heard "TONG TONG", the bus ran over something, it sound and felt as though the thing was hard and long, maybe a stick? maybe a snake? But the 1st thing that came to my mind was 'hantu'. Every1 in the bus sat up straight, shocked by the sound. Mr Driver immediately slowed down and moved to the emergency lane, but he didn't stop the vehicle, still moving slowly while looking at the side mirror, very wise of him. At no consequnces he should stop and get out of the bus, u know why la.

And right at that time when he was moving slowly, a cold shiver ran down my spine and goosebumps were all over my skin. There were white butterflies eveywhere in front of the bus, so visible with the high-beams on. Why butterflies? Why white? my brain was really running like mad, scared. Mr Driver then sped off. We stopped at a Petronas station by the highway at Gambang, Pahang for peeing & stretching and also to check out the bus. Amazingly nothing was wrong, and to find out that the Petronas had white moths flying all around too! (haha was thinking too much)

Stopped at Seri Baging. Never heard of this lil town b4. Had Teh Tarik while continue talking crap with my buddy. To our surprise, we met a bunch of chinese guys and girls, they were the 1st bunch of chinese we met since the journey started. Dare not put on the flash, as it would look too obvious that i snap a pic of them. But then, i was lucky enough to snap a candid pic, see properly, the girl in white is wearing light purple underwear hahahha! i'm just so perverted and deperate!!

0430 hrs
Passed by Kerteh - hub for petroleum industry. The whole place look as though it was morning, so bright! everywhere was lighten up by lights, every single building was lighted up at 2-3m intervals. It look like an alien city, like Malaysia in year 3030. And u could see chimneys with burning flames at the top, so cool man! sometimes blue flames, sometimes red flames, was just so attracted to the flames, something different that we dun normally see (though it's not my 1st time seeing it)

Kerteh - the no night town

0610 hrs
Was closing my eyes for a few minutes and re-opening again throughout the journey, never been successful in sleeping on bus journeys, dunno why. Finally, the 8 hours trip ended in Kuala Terengganu. Since it was a backpack trip, i had no idea where to go at all. No map in hands, no1 to call, the streets were still dark, sun was still sleeping, just me and Ram, totally lost. So we decided to take the left road and started walking like a blind man with my bag on my back. In the end, we came to a roundabout.
